Edward Cosentino Principal edward_cosentino@hcpss.org
As Principal of Clemens Crossing Elementary, it is my sincere pleasure and honor to be a member of this great school and community. Clemens Crossing continues to enjoy a rich history of academic excellence that is the result of a wonderful partnership between the school staff and parents who provide a diversity of experiences for our children. Education is both a process and a partnership. It is important that both staff and parents work collaboratively to support and monitor our students both academically, behaviorally and socially. Together, we can provide the modeling, consistency and structure our students need to achieve academic success and develop positive citizenship traits. Additionally, our students and staff are supported by an enthusiastic and dedicated PTA! Our PTA offers many programs and supports to our school community; I sincerely hope that you will become a PTA member as well as volunteer and participate in our many events! My professional career began in Howard County 26 years ago as a teacher at Hollifield Station Elementary. I served as an assistant principal at Hollifield Station and Bellows Spring Elementary Schools and principal at Bushy Park Elementary School. I have enjoyed serving those communities in a variety of roles, and I know those experiences will help me as I continue to serve the Clemens Crossing community. My goal as your principal is to cultivate a learning community where all students will grow in knowledge, teachers will actively engage students in learning, and parents are seen as valued partners in their child's education. If you have any comments, questions or concerns, please know I am here to have that dialogue with you. Again, I am privileged and honored to be your elementary school Principal.

Jaime Gittleson Assistant Principal jaime_gittleson@hcpss.org
I am excited for the opportunity to be the Assistant Principal at Clemens Crossing Elementary.  I am a product of the Howard County Public School System having graduated from Oakland Mills High School.  I have been in the field of education for the past 17 years, 13 of them here in Howard County. Over the course of my career, I have held many jobs in the field of education including:  first grade teacher, team leader, Title I Interventionist, Reading Specialist, and Reading Support Teacher.  Most of my career here in Howard County has been at Laurel Woods Elementary.  Since the beginning of this school year, I have been the Leadership Intern at Veterans Elementary.  I have spent the past few years learning about Restorative Justice and implementing these practices in classrooms.  I believe all students can be successful through individualized instruction and support ensuring everyone gets what they need.  I value building relationships with students, staff, and families, and I look forward to getting to know the Clemens Crossing community.  Please reach out for any reason so I can support your family during this school year.  Outside of school, I love reading and spending time with my husband, 10- year-old son, 7-year-old daughter, and our dog.
