As Principal of Clemens Crossing Elementary, it is my sincere pleasure and honor to be a member of this great school and community. Clemens Crossing continues to enjoy a rich history of academic excellence that is the result of a wonderful partnership between the school staff and parents who provide a diversity of experiences for our children. Education is both a process and a partnership. It is important that both staff and parents work collaboratively to support and monitor our students both academically, behaviorally and socially. Together, we can provide the modeling, consistency and structure our students need to achieve academic success and develop positive citizenship traits. Additionally, our students and staff are supported by an enthusiastic and dedicated PTA! Our PTA offers many programs and supports to our school community; I sincerely hope that you will become a PTA member as well as volunteer and participate in our many events! My professional career began in Howard County 22 years ago as a teacher at Hollifield Station Elementary. I served as an assistant principal at Hollifield Station and Bellows Spring Elementary Schools and principal at Bushy Park Elementary School. I have enjoyed serving those communities in the variety of roles, and I know those experiences will help me as I continue to serve the Clemens Crossing community. My goal as your principal is to cultivate a learning community where all students will grow in knowledge, teachers will actively engage students in learning, and parents are seen as valued partners in their child's education. If you have any comments, questions or concerns, please know I am here to have that dialogue with you. Again, I am privileged and honored to be your elementary school Principal.

I am so excited to join the Clemens Crossing family as your new Assistant Principal this year! I am committed to ensuring that every single student at Clemens Crossing is provided amazing opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed. Alongside our dedicated staff, I am thrilled to get to know our students, both academically and as individual members of our vibrant community. I look forward to building strong relationships with not only our students and staff, but with our many families and community partners as well. It has been an incredible experience to become a part of my childhood elementary school, Clemens Crossing, and it is evident that our school community is strong, involved, and committed to excellence in education. The 2018-19 school year will mark my 20th year with Howard County Public Schools where I have served as a second grade teacher, as well as a third grade Instructional Team Leader at Forest Ridge. I also served as a third and fifth grade Instructional Team Leader at Deep Run Elementary. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Loyola University and my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Coppin State University. I hold an Administration and Supervision Certificate from Towson University. If I am away from school, I am most likely spending time with my husband and my two sons. We enjoy playing sports, taking trips to the beach, and exploring the many areas of Howard County. I am grateful to have the opportunity to serve at Clemens Crossing and know we will have a wonderful year together. Please don't hesitate to contact me throughout the school year if I can be of assistance to your child or family in any way. I am looking forward to a great school year here at Clemens Crossing!
